The intern will rotate between the surgery & medicine (food animal) and theriogenology (food), both in house, and ambulatory services. The food animal clinic annual case load is 1,500-1,800 cases/year (beef 60%, dairy 10%, small ruminants 30%) and ambulatory is 1,300 trips/year (40% beef cow/calf and 20% dairy/small ruminants). As a specialty intern, duties will be specific to only food animal species (except emergency). Additionally, the intern will be expected to participate in didactic teaching (sophomore, junior, and senior). |
